Acting PM Nikol Pashinyan is truly not the only one responsible for the defeat in the recent war. The First President of Armenia and Armenian National Congress party leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan noted this in a statement, iLur.am reports.

"The main thesis of the majority of the opposition forces is that Nikol Pashinyan is the only one responsible for the defeat suffered in the last Karabakh [(Artsakh)] war.

One could fully agree with this assessment if it were not half-truth, and the forces that signed the statement would also admit that Nikol Pashinyan is exactly what they created, their creation.

The so-called elite (…) of the [Armenian] nation (…), and the leaders of virtually all national organizations of the [Armenian] diaspora also have their share of responsibility.

(…) [but] the people are not to blame at all for the catastrophe that befell our country. Moreover, they are the direct and only bearers of its most serious consequences.

(…) our army is not to blame at all for the defeat either. (…)

The whole point of the abovementioned is that we did not actually lose to Azerbaijan, but we brought that defeat to ourselves because of the immaturity of political mind.

The question, however, is what lessons should be learned from history. (…) new losses and new disappointments still await our people," Ter-Petrosyan wrote, in particular, in his statement.
