Twitter is concerned about the safety of its employees in India and called on the government to respect freedom of expression days after Indian police visited the company's New Delhi office after flagging a tweet from a ruling party representative manipulation, AP reported.
Twitter said it has concerns about the use of intimidation tactics by the police and a potential threat to freedom of expression for the people we serve.
On Monday, Indian police visited Twitter's New Delhi office to serve a notice asking them to answer questions about why the said tweet was flagged as "manipulation."
