Malaysian authorities have warned of a serious liability for those who are calling to refuse vaccination against the coronavirus, TASS reported.

The relevant departments may resort to harsh measures against those who refuse to heed the warnings, spreads false information about vaccinations, urging them to stay away from vaccinations.

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin announced a lockdown effective June 1 in response to a record increase in the number of infections in recent days. In particular, more than 9 thousand new cases were recorded on Saturday.

According to the government, about 6% of the country's inhabitants have been vaccinated against coronavirus.
