YEREVAN. – Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's proposal to deploy observers along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border does not limit Armenia on the situation at the border in terms of cooperation with the CSTO. Hayk Konjoryan, an MP from the ruling My Step bloc, stated this Monday during the traditional briefings at the National Assembly.

He added that Pashinyan's plan to de-escalate the situation remains relevant.

At the May 27 meeting of the Security Council of Armenia, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had made a proposal that the troops of Azerbaijan and Armenia should be withdrawn to their original positions, and the troops of Russia or other OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries—US and France—should be deployed along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
