The National Assembly (NA) and the government of Armenia have reduced the cost of bonus pays and business travels abroad. This is stated in the annual report on the implementation of the 2020 state budget, the discussions of which continue Wednesday at the respective standing committees of the parliament.

In particular, 1.6 billion drams were allocated to the Office of the President of Armenia, of which 119 million drams were saved and directed to the budget. At the same time, the expenses of foreign trips were reduced by 90.5 billion drams.

A total of 6.1 billion drams were allocated to the NA, but a little more than 830 million drams were saved from them. These savings were made also on the account of the reduction of bonus pays and business trips abroad.

The expenses of the Prime Minister's Office, however, increased from 23.7 billion to 26 billion drams. This happened mainly due to the redistribution of programs from some other departments.

Also, foreign trips have been reduced by 98% at the Prime Minister's Office in 2020, and only 8 million drams were allocated for them.
