YEREVAN. – Acting Minister of Economy of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan's assessment of the construction sector is connected with the fact that a large number of projects are being prepared. Deputy Minister of Economy Avag Avanesyan told reporters this on Wednesday.

He assured that the acting Minister of Economy—who is currently participating in a major international forum in Saint Petersburg, Russia—meets with investors every day, so it can be said that there is activeness. "If we compare the data with 2019, we can say that the nominal figures in the construction sector are recovering," added the deputy minister.

Avanesyan noted that the Armenian government considers the construction of infrastructural facilities—roads, reservoirs, schools, etc.—a priority.

Referring to the situation in Armenia’s agriculture, the official stressed that the activities of intensive gardening have been developing in recent years. "The government will continue to promote this direction; everyone will only benefit from it," he concluded.

To note, acting Minister of Economy of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan had stated earlier: "Armenia has become a large construction site, the number of jobs is growing, investments continue."
