YEREVAN. – At 10:58am on Wednesday, a call was received informing that a murder had taken place in front of Moscow Cinema on Abovyan Street in downtown Yerevan.
The investigative team that was dispatched to the scene found the dead body of a man with a gunshot wound to the head, on the road, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
A criminal case has been opened on this incident—and under the Criminal Code articles on murder, and illegal acquisition, possession, and carrying of a weapon.
The victim was identified as a resident of Gavar town, born in 1971.
A fired gun shell was found and confiscated at the scene, samples were taken, a number of eyewitnesses were questioned, and several forensic examinations have been ordered.
The investigation is underway.
According to Armenian News-NEWS.am’s information, the murder victim is H. Vardanyan.
