YEREVAN. – According to the results of 2019, we had recorded a close to 40-percent increase in tax revenues; that is, on that 40-percent growth compared to 2019, today we have an 8.3-percent growth. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the interim government of Armenia.

He stressed that 68 million drams—which include VAT, excise tax, and mortgage loan interest payments—were returned to businesses and individuals in the first five months of this year. "We are, in fact, ensuring a progressive increase in tax collection by fully returning the money to be returned to businesses and citizens. We are in the mode of the policy of zeroing the [government] debt to the public," Pashinyan added.
