The EU's Ambassadors on Friday approved the plan for the flights of Belarusian airline companies in the airspace of the European Union or landings at the airports of the 27 member states of the European Union, and the decision will enter into force at midnight on June 5.

The EU has also advised the airline companies of the member states to avoid flights in the skies of Belarus, Reuters reports. However, those proposals are not a binding ban in terms of law. According to the data of Eurocontrol, the decision concerns the 400 flights that are carried out in the skies of Belarus on a daily basis, and of which nearly 100 flights are carried out by the airline companies of the EU or Great Britain.
