Russia is ready to discuss with the North Atlantic Alliance issues of de-escalation and prevention of incidents, but without the involvement of military experts, this dialogue will not make sense, Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova spokesperson wrote on Monday in her Telegram channel.

Her remarks came after NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that Russia hadn't responded to the proposal to hold a meeting.

"Russia does not withdraw from the dialogue with NATO and is ready for a real discussion of the issues of de-escalation and prevention of incidents. But without the involvement of military experts, negotiations on these topics are practically meaningless. And Mr. Stoltenberg is well aware of this," she said.
