YEREVAN. – In the field of agriculture in Armenia, it was planned to implement 8 programs, with 48 events, in 2020. A total of 11.5 billion drams were spent for those needs, which is about 76 percent of the directed budget. Acting Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan stated this at Monday’s joint meeting of the parliamentary standing committees on state and legal affairs as well as financial-credit and budgetary affairs, during the discussion of the report on the implementation of the 2020 state budget.

At first, according to him, about 18 billion drams were planned to be allocated from the state budget for the needs of agriculture, but then that amount was reviewed and reduced to 15.2 billion drams; the funding reduction was 15 percent. "Moreover, the implementation was 65 percent," added the acting Minister of Finance.
