Armenia and Georgia are restoring railway communication, which had been interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the first train will transport passengers from Yerevan to Batumi on June 15. This is what Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava said during a briefing following today’s government session.

“The first train will depart from Yerevan to Batumi through Tbilisi. This means citizens of Georgia’s neighboring country will travel to Georgia, the Black Sea resorts, Tbilisi and other tourist destinations,” Turnava added.
