Forest fires spread over an area of more than 24,000 hectares in the US state of Arizona, CNN reported.

This week, two large outbreaks formed in the state - 100 km from Phoenix covered an area of 14,000 hectares and crept a distance of several kilometers to the city of Superior. The authorities warned about 3,000 local residents to prepare for a possible evacuation.

The second fire center near the Mescal Mountains spread over 10,000 hectares and approached the El Capitan area, where about 5,000 inhabitants live.

Currently, the state has established dry and windy weather, which contributes to the spread of fires, the reasons for their occurrence are established by the authorities.
