Only Bright Armenia Party ca become the axis of the Government of National Accord. This is what leader of the opposition Bright Armenia Party, candidate for Prime Minister Edmon Marukyan told reporters during today’s campaign meeting in the Malatia-Sebastia district of Yerevan.

According to him, the first day of the election campaign showed that the people view the call for solidarity as positive since history has shown that Armenia loses statehood when there is split in society. “Almost all the political parties running in the elections are busy offending each other, meaning they can’t become the axis of the Government of National Accord. Only Bright Armenia Party can become the axis since it has never supported hatred,” the political party’s leader stressed.

Marukyan assured that if 45% of undecided voters cast their votes for his political party, the latter will be able to consolidate the other political parties running in the elections. “If the political parties aren’t consolidated, we will see what first President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan declared yesterday when he said each political party will gather its supporters and declare its victory after the elections. The holding of the second stage implies turbulence for another 20 days and an opportunity for the enemy to advance into the territory for another 20 days,” Marukyan concluded.
