The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the release of 15 Armenian prisoners of war in exchange of the mine map of Akna (Aghdam).

“As a co-chairing country of the OSCE Minsk Group, France welcomes the release of 15 Armenians detained by Azerbaijan, as well as the handover of the mine map of the Akna region of Azerbaijan. This is an important gesture that will contribute to the easing of tension and the restoration of confidence between the sides in order to establish sustainable peace in the Caucasus,” the statement by the French MFA reads.
