Snap parliamentary elections are taking place in Armenia today.

At this moment, polling stations are opening throughout the country. Within 12 hours, voters will have to choose between 21 political parties and 4 pre-election blocs of parties. These elections were distinguished by a record number of electoral competitors in the history of the country. Political parties need to overcome the 5% barrier, while party blocs - 7%.

Every citizen who has the right to vote will receive 25 ballots upon coming to a polling station.

Voting will continue until 8 pm Yerevan time, after which the counting of votes will begin. Starting at noon, the Central Election Commission will report voter turnout figures every three hours.
