We, the representatives of the civil society, find that in order to discuss vital issues for the state and society and to take steps to address them, it is more than necessary to maintain—on election day and in the post-election period—a civilized dialogue, an atmosphere of pluralism, to exclude calls for violence, hatred, to guarantee and exercise of fundamental rights—the right to freedom of assembly and expression of opinion—regardless of the results of the elections. A group of civil society organizations have noted the aforesaid, in particular, in a statement-call they have issued in connection with Sunday’s snap parliamentary elections in Armenia and the expected ensuing developments.
