Today’s awareness-raising statement by the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia on photographing and disseminating ballots was speculated to a certain extent.

Due to these speculations, in order to disallow misreading, the Office of the Human Rights Defender particularly informs citizens that it had made the statement since it had recorded specific reports since early morning; according to the reports, voters were photographing and videotaping the voting, placing the ballot of a specific number in the envelope, indicating that it is the result of their vote, and disclosing.

With this, they were performing actions that were making citizens vulnerable from the perspective of the influence of the Criminal Code with regard to confidentiality of the vote.
