Russia's contribution to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] conflict was decisive, Russian President Vladimir Putin believes, TASS reports.

"The conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh was stopped with a decisive contribution from Russia," the head of state said in a video message posted on the Kremlin's website Wednesday—and addressed to the IX Moscow Conference on International Security.

Putin noted that Russian peacekeepers reliably guarantee peace and security in the region, and are doing much to improve the humanitarian situation, demine the territories, and restore social infrastructure there.
