YEREVAN. – A new indicator of the number of jobs has been registered in Armenia. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the interim government.

He noted that in May we have 86,962, or 15%, more jobs than in May 2018. "Compared to May 2018, the salary fund has increased by 38 billion drams, or 39%. The average salary per person has increased by 35,714 drams, or 20.2%," Pashinyan added.

Also, the acting premier noted that there is growth in the construction sector in Armenia and there is an increase in jobs in this sector. "We also have a slow but steady growth in the tourism sector. The next largest segment is also in the field of public catering where we have an increase in jobs," Nikol Pashinyan said.
