As expected, the decision of the European Court on my appeal against Azerbaijan has now gone down in history. Renowned blogger Alexander Lapshin announced this on his Facebook page.
"Let me recall that the court held Azerbaijan accountable for the torture and murder attempt [against me]. And now this ‘inconvenient’ incident for [Azerbaijan President] Aliyev will be mentioned in every report on human rights violations in Azerbaijan. As if their political migrants and human rights activists were not enough, now an Israeli journalist has become a burden to them.
A report on the violation of journalists' rights has been published in the Council of Europe. And guess whose name is first on the list? And so that the petty dictatorship of the Third World knows its place," Lapshin added.
