Tigran Ambardaryan, brother of Armenian prisoner of war Mels Ambardaryan, has stopped his sitting strike in front of the government building. Tigran wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“I am stopping the sitting strike for the following reason: Today we were invited by and had a meeting with government officials, who listened to us and discussed our terms and conditions, that is, set up an ad-hoc commission that will constantly be in touch with the relatives of the prisoners of war (they promised to set up the commission on June 25, 2021).

After our discussion, we agreed to give the government more time to continue its efforts and inform us about the completed activities soon.

If all the conditions and demands are not met before mid-July, I will resume my sitting strike and hold bigger protests with my friends.

Tigran Ambardaryann, brother of captive Mels Ambardaryan.”
