One person has been injured in the shooting in Times Square, the central square of New York, according to the local television channel NBC New York, citing police.
According to the channel, at about 5.15 pm a man was walking with his family on Broadway when someone shot him. Apparently, the unknown chose the target arbitrarily, it was an innocent passer-by.
The 21-year-old man was shot in the back. Subsequently, he was taken to the nearest hospital, as it is assumed, he will survive, RIA Novosti reported.
The police are looking for two suspects in connection with the shooting. Streets in the area of the incident were blocked, an investigation is underway.
