YEREVAN. – A 25-year-old resident of Balahovit village killed a 35-year-old resident of Jrvezh village, and the victim’s body and head were found in the field of Hatis village, the Police of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The murder had taken place last fall. On November 2, 2020, a female resident of Jrvezh had reported to the police that on October 31, her 35-year-old husband had left home to go to Balahovit, but had not returned.

The search for him did not yield any results, and on November 12, a murder case was opened.

Information was received that the 35-year-old man had been killed by a 25-year-old resident of Balahovit village, who could not be found.

On April 28, 2021, police officers found a human head and body in a field of Hatis village; his clothes matched those of the aforesaid missing man. Earlier, a search at the suspect's home and garage had found traces of blood that matched samples taken from the body.

On June 14, this Balahovit resident was declared wanted on murder charges.

As a result of explanatory work with his relatives, on June 23 this man turned himself in to the police.

He was handed over to the investigative body.

The investigation of this murder case continues.
