President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has declared that the European Union doesn’t recognize the Taliban and won’t lead negotiations with them, as reported by Reuters.
Ursula von der Leyen said she will offer to increase the Commission’s humanitarian aid to Afghanistan up to EUR 57,000,000, stressing that the funds will be provided for human rights protection, good treatment for minorities and respect for women’s and girls’ rights.
