Algeria is severing diplomatic relations with Morocco, Foreign Minister Ramdan Lamamra said at a press conference, accusing the neighbor of hostile actions, Reuters reported.

Morocco and Algeria have been in tense relations for decades, mainly over the issue of Western Sahara, the border between the two countries has been closed since 1994.

The Kingdom of Morocco has never stopped hostile actions against Algeria, he said.
