 U.S. and European Union trade and competition officials are launching a new forum joining forces to better compete with China, protect sensitive technologies, increase semiconductor production, and coordinate regulation of large technology companies, Reuters reported.

The new US-EU Trade and Technology Council will hold its first meeting at a former steel mill in southeast Pittsburgh that has been transformed into a research and development center for artificial intelligence, robotics and advanced manufacturing.
