The authorities shouldn’t ruin relations with Iran. This is what deputy of the opposition “Armenia” faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Armen Rustamyan said in parliament today.
According to him, Turkey is inciting a conflict in all the neighboring regions and is now seeking to strengthen its positions in the north of Iran and the Caspian region.
“Experts say Ankara is seeking to incite inter-ethnic clashes in Iran to make Persian-speaking and Turkic-speaking people go at each other. In this regard, the statements of Iran’s leadership and its actions in the northwestern sector of the country are extremely important,” the MP said.
Rustamyan welcomed Iran’s political will to restrain the potential reclassification of political forces in the region. “Nevertheless, “Armenia” faction is warning the authorities that it needs to build ties with allies under the principle of political trade,” he declared.
