A tragic incident took place Saturday in Armavir Province of Armenia, shamshyan.com reported.

At around 1:10pm, the police received a call informing that there was a man's dead body in a house in Margara village.

The rescuers and police officers who arrived at the scene found the burnt body of Markos Grigoryan, 65, the owner of this house.

According to the preliminary information, he was lying on the bed, a fire broke out because of the cigarette he lit, and this became the cause of his death.

Rescuers and police carried the body to a morgue vehicle.

The deceased had lived alone in this house.
