The Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a murder case into the death of Hrachik Hakobyan, 37, who was missing since October 8, shamshyan.com reported.
The police officers found Hakobyan's body at around 10:30am on October 9, near a bridge of Spitak town of Lori Province, on the bank of Chichkhan river, and half-naked and lying face down.
Examining the body on the spot, the forensic doctor reported that there were injuries on his face and head.
A forensic medical examination of the body has been ordered.
