YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Zhoghovurd daily has learned new details about the criminal processes taking place around former RA Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan [who has been remanded in custody]. In particular, we found out why the former minister does not testify.

And according to Zhoghovurd daily’s information, the silence of the former minister of defense is linked to the person of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The thing is that Tonoyan has said in his close circle that RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was aware of the whole process with which he is charged. And the latter [i.e., Tonoyan] is charged with embezzling about 4.7 million [US] dollars and committing falsifications, publicly dangerous actions. The director of the company that supplied ammunition to the army, Davit Galstyan—known with the nickname of Patron Davo—is also a defendant in the same [criminal] case.
