YEREVAN. – At around 8:45pm on Monday, an ambulance was called to the Vanadzor penitentiary of Armenia due to the sharp deterioration of the health condition of an inmate who was born in 1981, and he was ambulanced to Vanadzor Medical Center.

And at 9:50pm, this prisoner was pronounced dead at the aforesaid hospital, the Penitentiary Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

This convict had a number of chronic illnesses and was under medical supervision at the medical unit of the Vanadzor prison for a long time.

Materials on this fact are being prepared.

A forensic medical examination has been ordered.
