Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Armenia Patrik Svensson.

Greeting the Ambassador, Simonyan emphasized that Sweden is one of the major and reliable partners for Armenia.

As reported the National Assembly of Armenia, the parliamentary speaker touched upon the existing close and effective cooperation on international parliamentary platforms, highly appreciated the support of Sweden to the democratic processes unfolding in Armenia and valued the financial assistance that the Swedish government has provided for the development of several sectors. In the context of bilateral cooperation, Simonyan stated that the cooperation with Sweden is also important in the format of Armenia-European Union relations.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Svensson attached importance to the development of parliamentary relations and the expansion of multisector cooperation.
