Based on the agreement reached between Minister of Defense of Armenia Arshak Karapetyan and Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, army general Sergey Shoygu, the Russian Ministry of Defense has transferred 50,000 doses of the Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine to the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

As reported the press service of the Armenian MOD, the batch of the vaccine was transferred to Yerevan via a military plane today.

The vaccine will be used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Armenia, and a part of the batch will be allocated to the Ministry of Health for vaccination of civilians.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia expresses gratitude to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for transferring the batch of the vaccine to the Armed Forces of Armenia, as well as for the effective support in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
