YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: Last night, another small group of our captives—5 young Armenians—returned [from Azerbaijan] to the homeland. Among them—Mels Ambardaryan from Gyumri. [His] brother, Tigran, had told us that his return was a surprise for the family. "We did not know anything, like everyone else, we were also in expectations."

In June of this year, the [Azerbaijani capital] Baku Court on Grave Crimes had sentenced 13 Armenian servicemen, including Mels Ambardaryan, to 6 years in prison for "terrorism, illegal crossing of the state border of Azerbaijan, illegal possession of weapons and ammunition."

They were captured in December last year, weeks after the end of the [last Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)] war, in Khtsaberd and Hin Tagher villages of [the] Hadrut [region].
