Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov has checked the winter-readiness of the army units that are stationed at the border, Azerbaijani media reported.

In particular, Hasanov visited the Kelbajar (Karvachar) and Lachin (Berdzor) regions of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).

The minister of defense was informed that the dormitories and service buildings of these military units are provided with uninterrupted heating, and the transition of weapons and equipment to the autumn-winter season is organized.

"Besides, detailed information was provided on the work being carried out by the units of the engineering troops—in collaboration with other [Azerbaijani] state organizations—on the construction and repair of roads in regions with difficult terrain," the Azerbaijani media added.
