Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar has announced the start of the process of Turkey’s purchasing F-16 fighter jets from the United States, Anadolu reported.

"The technical work for the purchase of F-16 fighter jets has started. Strengthening Turkey means strengthening NATO," Akar said.
