MOSCOW. – Specialists from the humanitarian response center of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, together with representatives of a charity organization, provided humanitarian assistance to education institutions and children in remote areas of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), reported the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

"The [humanitarian] action was held at the first central school in Martakert town. Individual gifts were brought to boys and girls from the first to third grades. About 152 schoolchildren study at the first to third grades," said Olesya Podolskaya, a representative of the aforesaid charity organization.

Also within the framework of this humanitarian action, a diesel-fuel generator, electric stoves and heaters, office supplies, essentials, and warm clothes were brought from Russia.

In addition to this humanitarian assistance, the Russian peacekeepers held an interactive "Peace" lesson for students at the school named after Vladimir Balayan.
