STEPANAKERT. – Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Minister of State Artak Beglaryan, who is on a visit to the US, met with Congressman David Valadao, in Hanford, California, the state minister's office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Thanking this American lawmaker for his continued support to the people of Artsakh, Beglaryan presented the situation in Artsakh and its humanitarian and political challenges. The minister of state stressed the need for broad international assistance, especially in the elimination of the humanitarian consequences of the Artsakh war last fall and the eventual realization of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination.

Congressman Valadao, in turn, reaffirmed his support for the protection of the rights and freedoms of the people of Artsakh.

The parties exchanged views on the possible engagement of US Congress members in resolving existing key issues.
