China and Armenia are working to resume bilateral flights, Chinese Ambassador Fan Yong told reporters Thursday.

He reminded that the visa-free regime between the two countries resumed in July.

"China has tightened entry requirements to the country for all foreign nationals, and very strict anti-epidemic measures are in place. The [coronavirus] pandemic has hit the air carriers, too; many airlines are experiencing financial and other difficulties. In this respect, flights from Armenia to China are not carried out now. I hope that this issue will also be resolved as a result of bilateral negotiations, as a result of the improvement of the situation around the world. China and Armenia are already working in this regard to resume bilateral flights. This will have a positive impact on the development of bilateral relations," the Chinese ambassador noted.
