On Thursday, the parliamentary faction of the opposition "Armenia" bloc met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin. Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the opposition "Armenia" Faction in the National Assembly (NA) and former defense minister of Armenia, said this Friday during the traditional briefings in the NA.
In addition, as Ohanyan mentioned, there were separate meetings before that meeting as well.
"We discussed with the ambassador the situation, presented our views on the current military-political situation. We discussed also the situation around Armenia, stressed the importance of Armenian-Russian cooperation. We talked also about the joint military contingent. There are other matters which I would not like to talk about today," said the former minister of defense.
He added that the aforesaid opposition faction had asked the Russian ambassador about the possible signing of a new trilateral statement, but Kopirkin had said he did not have full information in that regard.
