A major and tragic road accident took place Friday in Ararat Province of Armenia, shamshyan.com reported.

At around 11:40am, a military truck went off road at the Tigranashen bends of the Yerevan-Yeraskh-Meghri motorway, rolled down about 150 meters, and ended up in the gorge.

One person died on the spot, and another was taken to hospital.

According to preliminary information, the dead and injured are servicemen of the Russian border troops.
