Human Rights Defender of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Gegham Stepanyan yesterday met with representatives of Action Santé Arménie France healthcare initiative. The organization is an independent staff of doctors and the medical workers of university hospitals that was formed during the war unleashed against Artsakh in order to provide medical aid to those affected by the war, and even today, it supports the development of the healthcare systems in Artsakh and Armenia.

Stepanyan underscored the importance of the activities being carried out by Action Santé Arménie France from the perspective of support to proper exercise of the right of the people of Artsakh to healthcare and expressed gratitude for standing with Artsakh through various programs. During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the current and upcoming programs for mental healthcare in Artsakh, indicating the importance of those programs due to the post-war realities.

The Human Rights Defender expressed his willingness to support the organization’s programs in Artsakh within the scope of his powers.
