During traditional briefings today, deputies of the ruling Civil Contract Party refused to answer the question from reporter for Yerevan Today website and explained that, in their opinion, the website has “crossed all red lines”.

The fellow reporters defended their colleague and asked how fair it is for a political party supporting freedom of speech and democracy to express such a stance.

In response, deputy of the ruling party and former journalist Artur Hovhannisyan said he doesn’t view such behavior as obstruction of freedom of speech. “The mentioned media outlet serves the interest of former President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and has crossed all the red lines. I’m referring to the various comments and insults. We have decided to not answer the particular mass media outlet’s question since it doesn’t work in good faith,” he concluded.
