Saudi Arabia has announced the recall of its ambassador from Lebanon who must also leave Saudi Arabia within 48 hours.

According to Royal TV, this comes after the latest statements of Lebanon’s Minister of Information which Riyadh considered offensive.

Saudi Arabia has also completely banned imports from Lebanon, the state information agency of Saudi Arabia reports.

RIA Novosti, citing a diplomatic source, reports that the authorities of Saudi Arabia are considering the possibility of cutting diplomatic ties with Lebanon.

This comes after the spread of a video on social networks showing Information Minister of Lebanon George Kordahi referring to the war in Yemen as aggression against Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
