The court hearing on the criminal case against second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and former deputy prime minister Armen Gevorgyan—who is now an MP from the opposition “Armenia” Faction in the National Assembly—has resumed Tuesday in Yerevan.

At the previous session last week, presiding Judge Anna Danibekyan had denied the defense’s motion for her self-recusal from this case.

And as a sign of protest, Armen Gevorgyan's lawyer Aleksandr Kochubayev had left the courtroom, after which the court was compelled had to adjourn the hearing.

The previous few court hearings were also rescheduled.
