Within the framework of his visit to the US, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Minister of State Artak Beglaryan met with several Congress members, at the US Congress.

During his talk with Congress members Frank Pallone, Anna Eshoo, and Jim Costa, the Minister of State briefly presented the humanitarian situation in Artsakh, the latter’s approaches to the settlement of the conflict with Azerbaijan, and the programs of the Artsakh government.

Also, Beglaryan stressed the need to increase Artsakh's international engagement—and taking into account the current security and humanitarian needs and peculiarities.

In addition, the state minister noted that the recognition of the exercising of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination is of fundamental importance in the ultimate and fair settlement of the aforesaid conflict.

He stressed the need for a fair and speedy settlement of the issue of Artsakh's international status—and in the context of long-term security and protection of other fundamental rights and interests of the people of Artsakh.

Also, Artak Beglaryan visited the US Library of Congress’ Armenian section where he discussed the mechanisms of continued increase of this library’s literature related to Artsakh.
