The healthcare system is extremely overloaded. If there is a person waiting at home, it means that there is no space in the hospitals. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Thursday's Cabinet meeting of the government—and with respect to the current coronavirus situation in Armenia.

"Consequently, people are dying, there are reports every day, we are witnessing many tragic recordings every day. There is only one way to avoid this: getting vaccinated. [But] we [i.e., Armenia] will not go to lockdowns; I want us to record this clearly," the premier added.

Also, he stated that people should be saved from COVID-19 and that there is a way to save them from this pandemic.

"We ask, we call for getting vaccinated. Administrative levers are also important [here]; we will put them to work. But in general, we ask people to help us so that we can help them," Pashinyan said.
