Baku continues to discuss with partners the creation of the “3+3” regional cooperation mechanism with three republics of the South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia), as well as Russia, Iran and Turkey through diplomatic channels. This is what Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Division of the Staff of the President Hikmet Hajiyev told TASS on Thursday.
“The platform will help establish the directions for future cooperation in the region. Currently, there are active contacts through diplomatic channels. Generally speaking, Azerbaijan supports this process. We are ready to continue our debates based on this format and create a new mechanism, that is, a platform for regional cooperation,” he added.
