Minister of Defense of Armenia Arshak Karapetyan today attended the regular session of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the CIS held in Moscow.

As reported the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, there were over 20 items on the agenda, including issues related to the development of multifaceted cooperation in the defense sector, the conduct of the Regional Security-2022 joint computer-simulated command and staff military exercises of the unified air defense system, humanitarian demining of joint engineering units, joint preparation of military personnel for the armed forces, the results of the international army games held this year, etc.

The members of the Council shared views on the military-political situation and security issues and highly appreciated the experience of military cooperation in the format of the CIS over the past 30 years and the directions for development of that cooperation.

The session ended with the signing of all the decisions of the Council, including the working plan for the year 2022.
